Hey kids, here’s a little bit more about me.

I’m a novelist, poet, blogger and mom. I’m the Director of Writing Heights Writers Association (formerly Northern Colorado Writers), a group dedicated to the education, support, and success of every author regardless of their experience. I am a contracted author for 5 Prince Publishing. My most recent work with them is my award-nominated Literary Fiction novel No Words After I Love You. They’ve also published my award-winning Sweet Valley Series, a contemporary cowboy and family saga, set in my home state of Wyoming. The release of the first book, Raising Elle was in May 2023 (Colorado Book Award, Pencraft Award), with the others following in August, Granting Katelyn and November, Composing Laney (Literary Titan Award). The series follows the trials and joys of three sisters from the small town of Sweet Valley Wyoming as they navigate the complexities of failure, forgiveness, and fortitude.

I also have two wonderful books with my lovely co-author Kerrie Flanagan, Back to the 80s, a sweet rom-com and Rewriting Christmas, a sweet and short novella that’s warm and cozy. the Southtown Harbor Series (Fixing Destiny, Finding Destiny, and Fighting Destiny) a trilogy of paranormal romances set in Maine. I’m also the co-author and editor of two fine poetry anthologies. I’ve contributed to several journals and publications including, The Fort Collins Coloradoan, Haunted Waters Press, Poetry Ireland Review, Sasee Magazine, Pixie Publishing’s “Scars” Anthology, and Raven’s Quoth Press Evermore 2.

You can check out my EVENTS page for more information on book releases and signing dates, as well as where I’ll be for workshops and presentations.

If you want a little taste of my writing check out my BLOG page. “The Beautiful Stuff” is a blog dedicated to the promotion of creativity, and a realistic journey through self-care, human interaction, and living with passion. In addition to all that stuff, I’m on the board of the Wyoming Writers, Inc. (Award and Scholarship Chair) and am a member of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and the Colorado Authors League. I’m the coordinator to the Youth Writing Program at WHWA and am always happy to encourage the next generation of writers.

I welcome any and all responses and encourages respectful questions, debates, and conversations. I always try to respond as promptly as possible, and if you’re a writer just starting out or long in the tooth, feel free to submit here if you’re interested in doing a guest blog for me.

Other than that, I have a herd of two cats, and a large pitbull/cattle dog who keep me up to my ears in messes, and cuddles. I have a neglected garden and two beautiful daughters who are navigating the perils of teenage-hood. My favorite escapes are writing, hiking, and traveling.
